By default, Google Chrome Browser for Windows officially doesn’t support an option to enable or disable the dark mode. But there are various tricks to enable dark mode on Google Chrome Browser.

Enable Dark Mode on Google Chrome Browser

In this section, we’ll discuss Enable Dark Mode on Google Chrome Browser. Here we also included a video tutorial, if you find difficulties to follow the steps mentioned below.

Step 1: Open Chrome Web Store and search one extension called  Dark Reader and add it to Chrome. Dark Reader is an extension that darkens the content of a web page not the interface of Google Chrome.

Step 2: To get complete dark mode, we need to install Just Black theme. It is developed by Google for Chrome Browser. Now, you are all set to enjoy Dark mode on Chrome.

Step 3: Here is how the webpage will look when you are using dark mode on Google Chrome Browser.

How to Reset to Default

Now if you want to remove dark mode from Google Chrome Browser then simply follow these steps:

Step 1: Remove Just Black theme: To remove the Just Black theme, click on the three dot present on the top right-hand side corner then click on Settings. Now look for Appearance Section and click on “Reset to default” or you can open chrome://settings and scroll down to Theme and click on “Reset to default”.

Step 2: Remove Dark Reader Extension: To remove Dark Reader Extension, simply right click on Dark Reader extension icon on the toolbar and click on “Remove from Chrome”.
