What is UWP?
UWP or Universal Windows Platform is a Windows application programming interface that was developed by Microsoft to bring all its apps on the same platform.
The benefit of creating a unified API is that all apps can be used across all Microsoft devices. This means an app running on Windows 10 will also be compatible with Windows 10 Mobile, Xbox, HoloLens, Surface devices, and other IoT devices.

How to Access the New File Explorer on Windows 10
Now let’s come back to our main topic how we can access the new File Explorer. Here in this section, we are going to discuss that.
However, keep in mind, the new File Explorer is still in development so there might be some bugs. Also, some of the popular features like Pin to Quick Access or List View are not available right now. Just follow these steps:
Step 1: Open “This PC” or the old “File Explorer”.
Step 2: After that “Copy” the below command and “Past” this into the address bar
Step 3: Now here we will get the new File Explorer, and you can try it out by yourself.
Note:- The New file Explorer cannot be activated permanently as it is still in the testing phase. Once you close the window you will need to follow the steps mentioned above to open it again.
Create a shortcut to load the new File Explorer
If you really liked the new File Explorer and want to use it regularly then you can simply pin the new File Explorer on your taskbar.
Just Right-Click on the logo of the new File Explorer and “Pin to Taskbar”.
