Traditionally, Ubuntu has always used orange and aubergine accent colors. But now Ubuntu 22.04 lets you pick a custom accent color. You can change the accent color of your Ubuntu desktop without any additional tool. Here is how you can change the accent color on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.

How to Change Accent Color on Ubuntu

To change the accent color on Ubuntu without any additional tool. You have to update your system to Ubuntu 22.04 LTS version. Only then will you have the option to change it.

After that, you can follow the following steps:

Step 1: First, you will need to launch the “Settings” application. For that, click on the “Show Application” option.

Step 2: On the search bar, search for “Settings” and open it.

Step 3: Next, click on the “Appearance” tab from the left panel of the settings window. Then, look for the “Style” panel present to the right of your screen. Here you will get ten different accent colors to choose from; select the color you want to set as the accent color.

Step 4: The changes will take effect immediately. Here you can check the difference.

Note:- All the places where you had an Orange color element on the desktop; will change to new accent color. So, the folder colors get changed, calendar entries, and text selection highlighted in browsers and more.
