Windows 10 also comes with an expiry date if you are running an Insider Preview build, organization Windows activation, or running a trial version of the windows operating system.

Then you might need to check when your windows license is expiring. Here we are going to learn how we can check when our Windows 10 build is going to expire.

How to Check When your Windows 10 Going to Expire

The expiry date only applies to unstable Insider Preview versions of Windows 10 or trial version of Windows 10. 

Stable versions of Windows 10 will never “expire” and stop working, even when Microsoft stops updating them with security patches.

Here are the steps how you can check the expiry date of your windows 10 OS:

Step 1: Open Start.

Step 2: Search for Command Prompt, right-click the top result, and select the Run as administrator option.

Step 3: Type the following command to know the expiry date and press Enter:

Slmgr /xpr

This command will open “Window Script Host“, if your Windows system is permanently activated, then you will find this:

If your Windows system comes with an expiry date, then you will find this:
