How to Deactivate Your Truecaller Account

So, if you don’t want to share call data with third parties, you can remove your number and name from Trecaller. To do so, you have to deactivate your Truecaller account. You can also change your name and number if you want.

If you want to use the Truecaller app but your name is wrong on the Truecaller database. Then you can easily change your name. To do so, follow the following steps:

Step 1: Download and login into the Truecaller app. To download it, you can use the Google Play Store.

Step 2: Now, open the Truecaller app. Click on the hamburger menu and click the “Edit” option.

Step 3: Here, enter your correct information. It will update your information in the Truecaller database.

Here let us discuss how to deactivate the Truecaller account:

Step 1: Open the Truecaller app on your smartphone and navigate to Settings. At the bottom, you will find the “Privacy Center,” click on it.

Step 2: Here, you will find privacy-related settings. To deactivate your Truecaller account, click on the “Deactivate” option.

Note:- Your Truecaller account is deactivated, but users can still search your number and find information about you. Now, you need to remove your number from the Truecaller database. To do so, follow the next step.

Step 3: Visit the unlisting page on your web browser. Now enter your phone number with your country code and validate the captcha. Finally, click on the “Unlist” button. It will take up to 24 hours before the number gets removed.

How to Stop Fraud and Spam Calls

Most Android phones have a built-in Phone app, which has native support for filtering spam calls. You can use this to filter to stop fraud and spam calls. To enable it, follow the following steps:

Step 1: To activate spam call filtering, tap on the 3-dot menu in the top-right corner and open “Settings.”

Step 2: Now, click on the “Caller ID and Spam” option. Here enable the “See caller and spam ID,” “Filter spam calls,” and “Verified calls” options.

Once you have enabled these options, you will detect fraud and spam calls.
