Usually, you don’t need to update your hardware drivers in Windows 11. By default, Windows 11 will install the latest version of hardware drivers on your system. So, if you don’t encounter an error due to a driver’s issue, you don’t need to update your driver.

However, if you are wondering; how to find official Windows Drivers for your hardware device, you can follow the guide till the end. Finding the official Windows drivers for a device can be a crucial step; in ensuring that Windows operates properly and effectively. There are several methods to find and install the drivers on your device.

Windows Automatically Downloads Official Drivers

Do you know? Windows operating system automatically downloads all the required official drivers to your system.

If your PC and its connected devices are working properly, you probably don’t need to download drivers. When you install Windows on a computer or connect a peripheral to your PC, Windows automatically downloads and installs the appropriate drivers from the official website.

Device manufacturers upload these official drivers to Windows Update so Windows can install them automatically. We already have a guide on; how you can update the driver from the Windows updates. You can check our linked guide.

Download Drivers from the Manufacturer’s Website

Your Windows system will automatically detect and download the drivers on your device. However, sometimes Windows Update couldn’t locate one. In this situation, you can download the drivers from the manufacturer’s Website.

To manually download a driver for a piece of hardware, you’ll need to know the manufacturer of the hardware, as well as its model number. This information is printed on the device’s packaging, on any receipts you have, and often even on the device itself if you look carefully.

Here are the steps you can follow to find the manufacturer of your hardware:

Step 1: Click on the search icon. Search for “System Information” on the search bar and open it.

Step 2: It will open the “System Information” window. Here, you can check all your system information. To know the manufacturer of your hardware, look for the “System Manufacturers” name. For instance, I am using the Gigabyte system.

Official Driver Download Links

Visit the manufacturer’s website: Look for a “Support” or “Downloads” section on the manufacturer’s website and search for drivers for your specific device model and operating system.

Note:- For all the manufacturers, the download process of the driver is the same. But you have to download it from the particular manufacturer’s website only.

We recommend you; download your drivers straight from the hardware manufacturer’s official websites. Here’s a list of the official places to get drivers for manufacturers:

  • Acer
  • Alienware
  • AMD
  • ASUS
  • Dell
  • HP
  • Intel
  • Lenovo
  • Microsoft
  • MSI
  • NVIDIA
  • Razer
  • Samsung
  • Toshiba
  • Gigabyte

Conclusion

That’s it; this is how you can find official Windows drivers for any device and install them on your Windows operating system. Also, check our other windows troubleshooting guide.
