How to Update Chromebook

Here in this section, we are going to discuss how you can update your Chromebook to the latest software update. For that, follow these steps:

Step 1: By default, when you are connected to the internet, your Chromebook automatically checks for the latest update. If available it can download and install the updates.

But, if you want to manually check for the update and install it, then click on the “App Drawer” and select “Settings“. Or, else you can also go to “Settings” from the notification panel.

Step 2: It will open the “Settings” window. Here on the left, select “About Chrome OS“.

Step 3: Now, here you will find all the information about your Chrome OS – like which version of the Chrome operating system is installed on your Chromebook and more. Now to check for the latest Chrome OS update click on “Check for Updates“.

Step 4: If any update is available, it will start to download. When the download gets completed, it will start to update automatically. The update process may take some time, wait for the update to complete.

Step 5: After your update process gets completed, click on “Restart” to finish the update.
