How to Install Paint.NET on Windows 11

Step 1: Go to and click on Get it now (free download).

Step 2: It will redirect you to the download page. There you’ll find two download options one from dotPDN (Which is free) and another one from Windows Store (Which is paid). Go with dotPDN because it’s free! Or Directly click on this link to download.

Note:- Both the software is the same.

Step 3: It will download a zip file, we have to extract it. After extracting you’ll find the paint.NET Downloader.

Step 4: Open the Paint.NET downloader and click on “Continue” to download all the required files.

Step 5: Now to select the installation type, “Express” is recommended, if you want to customize your installation then you can select “Custom” and select your language and click on “Next“.

Step 6: Now to install Paint.NET, you have to accept the license agreement, after that click on “Next“.

Step 7: On the next window, you will find an option to create a desktop shortcut. Here select the ‘Create a shortcut on the Desktop’ and ‘Automatically check for updates‘ option and click on ‘Next‘.
