How to Change the Dock Position in Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

To Change the dock panel position in Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, follow the following steps:

Step 1: Click on the “Show Application” button. That is present at the bottom of your screen with nine dots.

Step 2: Now on the search bar, search for “Settings” and open it.

Step 3: Next, click on the “Appearance” tab from the left panel of the settings window. Then, look for the “Dock” section present to the right of your screen. Here, click on the “position on screen” option. Now from the drop-down menu, choose the dock panel position.

If you select the bottom option, the dock panel will move to the bottom of your screen. It will look like a taskbar on windows 11.

As you are here, you can also adjust other dock settings. For example, you can enable the “Auto-hide the Dock” slider. The dock will auto-hide whenever a window appears over it, giving you more screen real estate. You can also change the size of the dock’s icons from here, making them larger or smaller by dragging the “Icon Size” slider to the right or left.
